Coney Island has free parking, but it is scarce like asthma teeth. There is metered parking on Surf Avenue, parallel to the walkway. There is also a finite amount of metered parking on West 12th Road, perpendicular to the Free Flacko Shirt footpath. If you can walk a little further, you can try Mermaid Avenue, a block from Surf or other streets perpendicular to the footpath. If you want to pay, there are several lots available, preferably in MCU Park (baseball field) and aquarium.
